Bottle Opener Keychain

If you’ve ever had one of those times when you really wanted a drink and couldn’t for the life of you find a bottle opener – and most of us have experienced that at some time or another – then a wall mounted bottle opener might be just what you need.  Just like the name suggests, a wall mounted bottle opener is one that you attach to a wall using a couple of screws, meaning that it can’t be moved, lost or misplace.  So no more not being able to find a bottle opener when you most need one!

Wall mounted bottle openers come in a big range of different shapes, sizes and styles.  The simplest ones are just plain metal, fairly small, and attach to your wall easily and are unobtrusive.  Sometimes they will have a small decoration or wording printed across the top, and sometimes they’re just plain metal.  These simple models are also very cheap, starting at as low as $5 or $6 and going through to around the $10 range.

If you want to spend a little more, there are some additional options available.  One model, for example, has a small magnetic plate just below the actual opener itself, which is designed to catch the bottle caps as you take them off.  It’s kind of a gimmick but it could also be very useful – no need to try and catch or pick up the bottle caps, all you need to do is worry about enjoying your drink!  Other bottle openers are shaped or designed to look like something, like a bottle, an animal or any number of other things.  They are definitely more attractive than the standard metal openers but also more expensive, as they can cost anywhere from $10 up to $30 or even more if you go for a really top of the line model.

You can also buy bottle top catchers separately to make a perfect bottle opening set – you just attach the catcher below the opener on the wall, and no need to think about catching the bottle tops any more!  These catchers can either be in the shape of small boxes, either from clear plastic or metal, or a small magnetic plate.
